i'm heartbroken right now. :( my dog, oreo, has demodectic mange. :(

and right now she's bald and very matamlay. we opted to let the vet cut her fur so that the medicine will penetrate more, since the mange is under the skin. ang mahal kaya ng weekly medical baths niya. x_x that's why we wanted her to be mange-free as soon as possible.

i hope her fur will grow back quickly. i'd really want to see her furry and happy again before i leave.

three weeks from now, i'll be flying to japan. and oh the pressure. people at home expects me to be really careful there. knowing that i'm the clumsy one makes them really worried about me living alone. hindi matapos tapos ung mga bilin about do's and dont's. i'm over-protected, what can i say.

on my part, i'm actually both excited and scared. excited that it'll be a totally new experience for me. and scared of actually depending only on myself (even if there'll be 9 other ateneans going there), but for the most part, of the dont's they tell me. they think of all the worst case scenarios that scares me and makes me think of the what ifs na rin. and to say that my flight will be on a date the Americans have a phobia of, i think. hahaha. but fyi, i'm not scared to the extent that i don't want to leave anymore. i'm just scared that if something bad happens to me, my parents and aunts will surely make me go home. and i have no choice but to say goodbye to an unfinished jta experience.

but above these, u have faith in God, of what His will is for me. :)

btw, i finished watching He's Beautiful. and i would really like to watch it again when i'm free, which is not in the near future. haha.

and one more thing, my 4-year old cousin told me, "achi Dianne, can you buy me hello kitty cat in japan?" hahaha! the cutest thing ever.

Finally! Having had the earliest deadline for all the application forms to JIU, we should have gotten the our acceptance letters first before the other jta participants. but no. 'cause they're slow. haha

RELATIONSHIPS ARE always a difficult terrain to navigate.

As a woman, you spend hours pondering—alone or with your girl friends—the intricacies of the human heart. You always hope and pray that the next generation will get it better than you did.

Below is a letter I found in my daughter’s website (I have her permission to share this). She wrote it to “the man I will someday love.”

I was expecting to read a gushing, romantic, idealistic tome. I was humbled instead by her sentiments. It’s filled with sensible expectations.

I pray that this will make every girl believe that hope does spring eternal, and even if your heart has been broken a few times, you can always put the pieces back together, and make it right the next time around.

Take your time. Don’t rush and don’t just “settle.” If it’s part of His plan, God’s best awaits you out there.

Letter

Dear You,

I will admit that sometimes I really do wonder if you exist.

There is a part of every little girl’s heart that envisions her prince charming. At age three, it is usually of a man who can save her from the wrath of an evil stepmother, wake her from eternal slumber or give her that true love’s kiss.

In elementary school, he becomes the boy with the least cooties, the one who’s willing to cross the playground to share his Oreos even if it makes him a target for the week of all the other boys.

Come high school, it’s that boy you stand with at prom, who your father stared down at the door, who provided you with an experience complete with photos you will cringe at a decade later, a corsage that yellows in the refrigerator, and a faded memory of a night that seemed almost too magical to be real.

Nineteen years into this life, however, and still unwilling to give my heart away, I am still that same little girl who hopes for her prince charming. And although I wonder why it has taken you this long to sweep me off my feet and whisk me off to your palace on horseback, I know that it is probably because meeting you will be better than any fairytale I could’ve read as a kid.

A couple of heartbreaks and a few years wiser though, I will admit that there are times when I question your existence. Because I have yet to meet the guy who makes me hear songs like “All My Life” or “A Whole New World” in my head when I see him does not mean I don’t hope that it’ll ever happen.

I may already know you or may still meet you someday—something I leave completely up to God because I’m pretty sure our story will be epic.

However, I can’t promise you that I’d make the world’s most perfect princess. In fact I’ll probably keep you on your toes and amuse you with my eccentricities—there are a lot of them. I’ll probably steal a bunch of your T-shirts and turn them into shirt dresses, or drive you slightly mad with my obsessive compulsivity and my need to fix your collar constantly.

I can promise to be your best friend however—that person you can rant to after a rough day, the hand you can hold when you get sad, or the person you can text when situations get awkward.

I’ll probably mess up your hair sometimes and hug you for too long, but that’ll only be because I absolutely adore you. I’ll bury my head in your shoulder during scary movies and make you feel like superman when you kill those flying cockroaches that really shouldn’t exist. I’ll cook your favorite food on your birthday and try my best to make friends with your mom.

I’ll respect your nights-out with the boys and make you seem like the perfect guy to my barkada. I’ll watch basketball or soccer games with you, and not complain when you cheer too loudly at the TV set.

I’ll know the difference between giving you space and being constantly there for you—even if it means sitting and playing video games with you or taking hot chocolate runs when it rains.

I’ll listen to your music and we’ll go on epic adventures together—seeing the world, taking awesome pictures, eating awesome food, and never running out of things to tell each other along the way.

I won’t be waiting for you to sweep me off my feet and take me on a magic carpet ride, because I know I won’t need anything like that to fall for you—I will love you for you.

You will be that someone to make goofy faces with in pictures, to lace fingers with when I’m lonely, and to take long walks under the stars with on the beach.

You’ll be the guy who takes me the way I am—and will laugh as I burst into Disney song or pick out pink wallpaper.

You’ll be that someone I envision a future with—us filling out visa forms as we travel the universe, picking out our first dog together and arguing about what to name it, or being snap-happy stage parents in our preschooler’s annual mini-plays. And I keep hoping that maybe someday when we find each other, you will become that someone whose smile I wake up to in the morning and the last one I speak to every night.

So to the man I know does exist, and who will help me maybe make sense of the world someday, this man I can’t wait to love. Please know that I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. But for now, I wait. Fingers crossed and palms held together, I hope that you’re out there somewhere, waiting for me, too.

I'll be reviving this blog for my JTA (junior term abroad) experiences. :)

I'll be going to Josai International University at Chiba in Japan.

I'm finished with my JTA 1st sem. and it was hell. :( I've never really thought it would be that difficult, especially philo. :( and to say I'll be having philo every semester until I graduate. awww, just the thought of it makes me feel depressed already. sad.

Anyway, I'll be going soon and the acceptance/confirmation letter from JIU hasn't arrived yet. The heck. It'll be super hectic once it arrives, errands everyday. I haven't actually packed yet but I have this box of jackets and other clothes for cold weather ready in my room.

I'm really excited! but my parents, and aunts, are really worried about me living alone, and at a foreign country at that.. I've been too sheltered for 19 years of my existence. and just the thought of living by myself makes them scared. haha. I kept assuring them that I'm not that dumb to not know the basic things about cleaning but they repeat all these stuff about how you make this and how i should do that. :| i just keep on nodding or say yes yes yes. haha.

It's August and I'm kind of enjoying the one-month break, knowing that most of my friends are having their hell sem. >:) hahaha.

i'm in love with john mayer's voice. haha i never liked him before kasi hnd naman siya gwapo. haha so i was half-shocked when i learned in a magazine that j.a. was dating him. yung half naman, not shocked kasi before him was v.v., right? eh parang ang awkward ng guy na yun, hindi ko rin gusto. haha. para bang after b.p., puro pangit na guys na dinadate niya. hahaha wala lang, napansin ko lng. anyway, fave song ko sa kanya "Dreaming With A Broken Heart". :)

ACCOUNTING IS KILLING ME!!!

this is all SSHS's fault! hindi nila kami binigyan ng background!
hahaha! sinisi ang school...peace!
i just hope i'll be able to get kahit pasang-awa in the all my long tests.
deadly kaya, it's an all-or-nothing percentage. LTs are 70% of the grade. I have to get a total of 200 points in all 4 long tests or I won't be able to get even a 1% in that 70%. even if u get a total of 199 points, you don't get a .50% for that 70%.

i have finally watched transformers 2: the ravenge of the fallen.

i still love bumble bee! haha so cute, especially the singing part in the garage.
i watched it last saturday with jamie, joselle and sean li. so cool! but there was something missing eh. i dont know. its just that the movie didnt gave me the excitement i had when i watched transformers 1. pero 2 was really good. ung excitement lang ung kulang.

update after such a long time!!!

so, my qpi for the second sem was 3.34. it sucked, really. .01 na lng dl na.
sophomore year!!!

i took up itm14 and lit14 for summer. i got sir wilhelm su for itm14. an okay teacher. really patient with his students. and really encouraged critical thinking. i got ma'am sandra roldan for lit14. i got really scared for the first few days, quizzes everyday! but after a few days, weeks, she's a great teacher pala! she kept on saying, "i hate your previous literature teachers for sticking in your mind that poetry is hard! poems doesn't always have symbolisms." i had to agree! i hated my high school literature teacher! *red people, do you agree? of course, you do! haha* anyway, i got a C+ in itm14 and a B in lit14. a semestral qpi of 2.75 for summer. sobrang laking hatak pababa sa cumulative ko. from 3.31, it went to 3.03. i really have to bawi this 2nd year if i want to be a dean's lister.

1st sem:
so i have sci10 (science and society), eco 102 (basic economy...), ma22 (calculus II), jsp1 for my FLC (japanese for my foreign language), acc20 (financial accounting), theo121 (an itroduction to theology), and judo for my pe. i took lts for my nstp.

i was suppose to take up eng12 this sem but aisis moved it to next sem. i wasnt able to enlist for it, so i revised my load. overload ako ngayon, 23 units all in all. joselle and i took eco because the english and filipino departments werent accommodating students anymore. thankfully, the professor in the eco class is kinda cool. sir aldaba.

accounting! shucks. parati akong sinasabihan ni mommy about that. i didnt review accounting 1 and 2 daw over the 2 week-break. that's why im having a hard time now. sheesh.. thats why its called a break right? i wanted to browse the book but everytime i had the intention of doing it, i see the computer. so nanonood na lng ako ng dollhouse.haha a really great series!

and talking about series, ang dami kong aabangan sa september! thats the fall season for u.s.a and the premiere of many new seasons for series. i'll be waiting for how i met your mother, gossip girl, dollhouse, glee, vampire diaries, and cougar town. i have watched the pilot episode of glee. it was really great! ganda ng voices ng lahat. aabangan ko talaga 'to. haha. after finishing the pilot episode, i researched for it in tv.com. haha. i saw that chenoweth from pushing daisies will be guesting in an episode. sooo excited! i love chenoweth! sobrang galing niyang kumanta sa pushing daisies. inaabangan ko talaga ung mga songs niya. i always have the chills when she sings in pushing daisies. super galing! haha.

anyway, i updated my blog today because as i was filling up the registration form for Loyola Film Circle, i came across the 'blog:' part. i was having second thoughts on writing it. kasi naman hindi updated eh. haha. so yun. i thought of updating it, i shouldnt be ashamed of what's written in here because my lay-outs really cute. haha ang labo.:) so now, instead of reading eco chapter 2-3, accounting chapter 3 and theo pp.9-20, nagbloblog ako. haha. stressed na ko, 2nd week pa lang. sigh...

pray for my grades, guys! haha.

mahina talaga ako sa decision making...i realize that i've made a bad decision AFTER i decided... ang tanga ko... stupid...stupid...

apat na kasi kaming member ng group.ung isang group kulang.. sabi ni ma'am, bubunot na lang siya kung sino ang magiging groupmate nung 3 boys. ako nabunot.. my groupmates were already stopping me. naisip ko naman, sige na nga, kaysa naman ung iba pa ang makuha kung sobrang ayaw naman nila mapunta dun sa group. kc wala talagang tumatayo para pumunta sa group nila... ngayon, ako naman ang nag aalangan kasi hindi ako comfortable sa kanilang 3... mas okako sa first groupmates ko kahit boys sila.. waaaah... so ang sad ko kasi feeling ko ang tanga ko na pumayag ako...

anyway, our first exam will be on tuesday..the lecture.. a classmate was sooo kind to upload a really nice compilation of the lectures for us. 9 pages!!! font size: 10! he/she(im not sure kc i dont know all of them yet..haha) said that he/she asked a botany student last sem on how our teacher gives an exam. lahat daw ng assignments kasama sa exam. here's the problem.. i wasnt able to get all of the homeworks because she has a really small voice, our teacher, even with the mic! i'll just hear all of a sudden, "that's ur assignment." and i'll ask my seatmates and those around me, "ano daw?" and they'll say "ewan ko." hahaha.... nakababaliw ang botany... i know i cant just give up.. pero ang hirap tlga!!! hindi naman ako bio major tapos super galing ng teacher na binigay?! somebody told me that during submission of projects, it will be like a thesis defense. ugh!

it was our first exam last friday. there were identifications of what is in the picture. hydrilla, cystolith, amyloplast, stomata, chromoplast, mitosis stages, raphides, prismatic..... anyway, ang alam ko lang, amyloplast! haha the easiest to identify. and stomata on the lower leaf! haha. un lang.. i hope i dont receive a failing grade. i cant believe im saying this but i miss chem! haha:))

i'm scared of failing the lecture and the lab. first of all, i don't know how to use a microscope! haha well, i know the basics but i can't see the specimen on the slide clearly.. i have to call on hans for help every now and then.good thing he's my seatmate!hehe anyway, for lecture, dr.tolentino discusses very fast! as in hindi pa kami tapos magsulat, next slide na siya ng powerpoint. she seems really nice. but a friend of a friend told us that she gives not-so-nice grades, especially on projects. ms.martir for laboratory: she looks really young and also kind. first day we meet her and she gives us all of these assignments. d naman sa mahirap, nakaka overwhelm lang.

so there goes my wish of being a dean's lister for this semester..

i think i did well in my finals.. :) hindi rin naman ako makaka dl kahit na mataas ang grades. English 10 kc e. as if mataas ang grades.haha okay lang :D

T3 is suppose to have this block outing to EK. surprisingly, no one's up to lend their cars for the trip. haha. hindi kc ako kasama... haha jk. anyway, block rep just decided to have a block lunch today, saisaki at annapolis. my mom actually permitted me to go. the problem is it was too soon and i didn't know who has a car that i can ride with. so yun..tinamad tuloy ako.. hehe

been watching House season2. borrowed it from chaz. season 2 and 3. galing ni Hugh Laurie. haha though sometimes i just don't get his character's sarcasm.hehe
nagtatampo nga pala si Al sakin. forgot to greet him a happy birthday last monday. coz he knows his name is written on my organizer. FO na daw.haha. he's going to look for another seatmate, he said. no!!! haha. coz i don't want ***** as my seatmate.hehe

i'm just so thankful that i was able to survive one semester in ateneo. i never thought i'll have high(mataas na sakin kahit may C+ hehe) grades in this university. i learned new things din when i got in. first thing i noticed was that marami palang nakasalo ng grasya ng Panginoon nung naghulog Siya ng Beauty and Brains ng sabay, boys and girls alike. i thought those that were blessed with both were the "chosen ones" hahaha. silly me. i learned so many things like how to commute alone (shockingly, yes. i started commuting alone via lrt to ateneo when first day of school started.), to further humbling myself because there are just so many people out there who are unexpectedly better than me(haha yabang). well, i hope that come second semester, i'll continue to learn more things, have higher grades (to make them happy.), and have more faith in God on how my future will turn about.

i'm currently praying for the next Nat.Sci. and PE i'm going to get for next semester.so pls pray for me too, to choose the right one:)

oct 8-chem1 (excempted na ko actually. B+ yey! but sir reyes said that if we want to make it an A, we have to score atleast 80% in the finals kahit kulang ng konti, automatic A na. if we fail, our B+ retains.)

confused and depressed.

i'm not really sure now if ateneo is for me.
i wanted accounting before as a course, at la salle. but when i found out i got accepted at management engineering, i didn't hesitate to grab the chance. but now i don't know anymore if this was the right choice.

first of all, im very proud of my batchmates who are dean's listers in their first term at dlsu . GC kasi ako, kaya syempre gusto ko rin mag dl. but it's too difficult for me to be one. don't get me wrong, i love ateneo. hindi lang talaga ako nageexcel and i hate the feeling. siguro kasi nasanay ako na parating honor sa high school tapos ngayon average student lang.

now one of my blockmates is "angry" at me. and im not even sure why! i said sorry. extrovert kasi siya, makwento, so i just kept quiet the whole time i was with them. i didn't know what to do kasi siya yung parating nagsasalita and hindi niya ko sinasama sa usapan. it hurts me, of course, because i have considered him as a friend already. sila na lang nga yung kasa-kasama ko tapos ganyan pa mangyayari. i really don't know what to do: either pester him with apologies or give him time to think and maybe he'll just forgive me.

i don't know if i have made the right decision to enroll at ateneo. siguro pag la salle ako, kasama ko si annica and i would probably be a dean's lister, which would be a better choice than feeling this way right now because someone is mad at you.

i keep on telling myself, kaya mo yan, if they can do it, then so can you. but as all encouragements go, it's easier to say it than really do it.

2-3-08 -attended my first church service:) at last! my mom permitted me to go!

2-6-07 -no classes. 8am-9.30am went to school to train the boy scouts morse code. partner with berns. had to leave early because going with maysh, mae, anix and sean to rockwell.
-we went to rockwell riding maysh's car, with her mom, grehon, matthew and anthony, grehon's friend. maysh went to somewhere(AXA, i think) with her mom first. so us who were left were dropped off at rockwell. went to seattle's. hehe. then went to fullybooked(gosh!!! i just love it!!). spent the time there to wait for maysh. but when we got bored, meaning we have seen every corners of the bookstore(books, rather. haha), we went to power station. then maysh called. we ate at tokyo tokyo. yum! japanese food. hehe. we watched 27 Dresses. really liked Heigl's bridesmaid dresses. very colorful and unique. james marsden, ooohh... haha. we were planning to watch another movie but it was already 6pm. we ate dinner at greenhills contis. yum again! haha. arrived home at about 9pm. had fun, fun, fun:)

2-7-07 -wasn't able to train the boy scouts because of having to go to kennard's house for the literature proj. her sister has sooo many books! adik talaga ako eh.. sorry. haha. had to leave at 4pm. our project was half-way finished by that time.

2-9-07 -boy scout competition!!! i was ready by 12pm. but s.eug was saying something about an extra wigwag flag that i had to get, just in case. i couldn't find it. i went back to the lobby where he said we were all supposed to meet for us to go to manuel hizon elementary school. i returned to the lobby with no extra flag(i really don't know where it was kept)but only timothy was there. he said sir told him to wait for me. he asked why i was left so i told him about the flag. "nasa s.c ng boy yun ah!" hai naku.... so when we got hold of the flag, we went to the said location of the competition. but neither of us knew where the school really is. we only know that it's at abad santos but where exactly? nakakahiya talaga sa part ko because i live at abad santos avenue but don't know the names of the 2 school at abad santos. i said i think i knew where the school is. ang yabang ko pa nga nun eh. but when we arrived there, the name read "gregorio del pilar". "bakit parang walang tao" timothy said. so we phoned anix and asked where exactly that school is. she passed the phone to lean and kenneth but they only said that when you get to uno, walk a little farther, beside bdo. so alright, i think i already know. we asked our way to the school. luckily, we arrived just in time. tinatawanan pa kami nila annica. "nag tutuban pa kayo noh?" hehe.
-the junior boys did pretty well. not losing their streak of being in the second to third place. the morse code contest was like this: 6 boy scouts will be decoding the message, one will be the sender of the message, and one will be the holder of the message. 2 scouts were correct out of 6 decoders. galing ni brian! so proud of him! second na kami sa lagay na yun ah! first cksc, 3 corrects out of 6. haha. that's pretty good na rin di ba? anyway, got home at around 6, i think, was really tired. naka idlip ako but had to wake up again because my si-i from iloilo with si-i-tiu and two cousins were going to stay at our house for 2 nights. this will be our first meet after one year. every year they go to manila for our guakong's birthday. sadly, no pics...

2-10-07 -went to 168 with mommy, si-i and koko. bought 2 blouses and "the bucket list" dvd. hahaha. ate dinner at home. shobe hannah, the older one, speaks english-ilonggo-chinese-tagalog. haha good nuh? naging yaya pa ako kasi ako nagpakain. she's super cute! hehe. "a-i, you forgot my juice!" she loves juice!! my mom gave her juice in a mug. and she was complaining "it's so heavy!"(the mug is heavy for a small girl like her) you see, she's just four years old. after eating, she was running to her mom, shouting "mommy! i have tinga!!!" while opening her mouth to let si-i see. alam niya kung ano yung tinga! ako nga nung second year ko lang nalaman na tinga pala tawag dun...

i've been very busy last week. i'll blog what happened next time. (my first church service, rockwell with friends, 27 dresses, lit project making, my Bisaya-English speaking 4yr old cousin shouting "Mommy, i have tinga!")

for now, i am at the computer lab, blogging. my other classmates are doing the activities (2 in fact), playing PSP with no care about what's happening around them(except when they notice that the teacher is getting near them, so they flee, and fast), surfing the net, playing net games, copying someone's activity....

its nice to watch people. watching them do their things. but it would be nicer if i'm wearing my eyeglasses now, so it'll be easier to copy someone's activity. you see, a while ago, at the library, i was listening to friends' whines and stories, when suddenly, the left lens fell off. just like that. it fell off. i tried to close it back, but no success.

anyway, the bell would be ringing soon.

i told myself i'm not going to use the internet for 1week (personal reason...). but apparently i just can't help it...

this school week has been incredibly full of "free time". but friday has come(which is today), with so uncool arm cramps. seriously, i have arm "aches" because of the handmime practice from morning until afternoon today. we started practicing for this presentation last january, i think, 4. with only thursdays, and some tuesdays,to practice. cram.... we finalized the whole song just yesterday. so, wow, you can just imagine how "intense" our practices were yesterday and today. sigh..... we performed "stephenian victory", btw.

well, the good news is we escaped some of the quizzes from english and (especially) science. for the po kho are kwo wun and tsong hap.

ang daming gumugulo sa isip ko ngayon. nagsisimula na naman akong mastress!!! haaay.... but i still find peace. and that's what i'm really thankful for right now.

btw, i wanted to share to you that God has just answered my prayer, but not in the way i expected it to be. because the way He answered it was really kind of funny. just wanted to share how God can really answer your prayers. and He can be really funny sometimes. hehe

who knew preparing for college would be so hard?? well, i didn't...
i passed DLSU, ADMU, and UP. accounting, management engineering and "degree program with available slots", respectively. i really want to study at ADMU. but something's stopping me. and i don't know what!

rubiks cube!!! i now know how to solve one! whoohoo! gwyneth and jamie taught me a while ago. christine helped but i can't understand her technique. thanks, you guys!

i ran out of tissue while at school. because of this stupid bloody nose! not literally bloody, but runny, rather. and now my upper lip is pretty sore because of the tissue's texture. how will i help effectively tomorrow at LOTM without going to the comfort room?? haha hope i feel better tomorrow.

as far as i can remember, this is my second time to feel very insecure, because of my grades!!! napaka GC nga naman talaga oh...haha kasi naman 2 points taas nya sakin sa gen ave, while before, hindi siya nag-eexcel that much. i should be happy for h** right? because a friend should be happy for a friend. it's God's will, for h** to have a higher grade. i know, i know..

atleast i know how to solve a rubiks cube now, right? hahaha

just realized the fact that i'm already in 4th year(weird nuh? ngayon ko lang nafeefeel...).two months to go and we're all in a new chapter of our lives, my batchmates and i.

half a year! i didn't update my blog for half a year. well, that isn't a shock. i'm just not used to opening the computer everyday and type in what happened to me. i'd rather sleep than type.(due to headaches if i lack sleep)

i decided to change my whole page(as you can see i lost all my page elements). this pyzam template i chose(cute nuh? hehe fave color ko kasi violet eh.:P), when you save it, it deletes every page element you have. the heck. anyway, i'll just update it next time.(sorry for those na nawala sa links ng blogs nila... kay berns and char pa lang nalalagay ko,try try lang)

34th JSC X-mark

Just got back from cardona, rizal(where the 34th jsc was held) yesterday. This camp has been really memorable, I must say. I had more close friends! :) I also learned things that I believe would really help me be a better Christian.

My Bible Study group mates were Jamie, Janell, Mariel, Annica and Abigail Teo tsi; our counselor was Hazel tsi. Yey! Hehe.. I had fun having them as my group mates. Super fun! Hehe we won 2nd in the sword drill contest. We, the blue team along with other groups, won in the sports fest. Such fun we had; such stories we shared and laughed at; and such thing we learned from each other. My room mates were Jamie, Andrea, Charmaine and Anna tsi. We didn’t win the cleanliness contest but our room was, for me the cleanest! Hahaha

It would really take me too long if I type all the things that happened. But one thing is for sure. I miss JWu!!! Hehehe

Having our daily devotion does not depend on getting the feeling that God is talking to us everyday. It is about keeping the faith in Him that He is Our God and not letting a single day pass by without reading His word. :)

Forwarding Emails to Grant Wishes ... from Funspirations

someone sent me this email message and i just feel to share this to you because it's also what i believe in...

"I feel in my heart that it is time to address this phenomenon. As a Christian I honestly do not take kindly in mail that sort of obligates you to forward it, especially emails regarding our Lord Jesus.

First of all, there is no such thing as a wish; there is only faith that is knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that God will never forsake you in anything, and that He will always provide for his children.

The whole "make a wish and then send to 7, etc.. People and a miracle will happen tomorrow", etc.., is all nonsense, for the word says: Ask anything in my name and it will be given.

Seek first the Kingdom of God and all things will be given.
I am your God; I will strengthen you and help you.

If God gave his only son Jesus Christ to die for us, what makes you think he will not add things to you and your life?

Secondly I think these mails mean to make us not believe in the promises of God, but it makes us believe in superstition, which is not from our Lord.

Superstition is nothing but witchcraft, because then you believe in powers of wishes and things, and not in the almighty power of God.

The word of God says: My people are going astray, because of lack of knowledge. Do not mess with the spiritual realm; if you do not understand it, you bring curses upon yourself. Do you honestly believe that in making wishes and not forwarding stuff someone can die, and phones can ring?

Thirdly, it tries to put you on a guilt trip. Those of us who know Jesus Christ, would also know that he is a gentle person, he would not force anyone to follow him, he simply knocks, and asks, the choice is still yours.

Now please don't get me wrong, I don't mind prayer chains and mails that you earnestly feel would bless someone, but these mails that leave the impression that our God is an old grumpy man upstairs that only looks for our mistakes and how he can punish us is not right. We know what a loving Father God is.

And after all, if you have accurate Bible knowledge, and if you are a spiritual person, you would know what mail to bless someone with; forcing Jesus upon people is wrong, for He himself does not do that, so please stop offending his precious name.
Rather let people know what a great friend he is and how loving he his.
Stop sending lies about Jesus Christ, and his father, stop believing in wishes, and then believe that you did the right thing and that God would take kindly to that.

Send prayer because you want someone to be blessed through it, don't tell them that if they don't, something bad will happen to them, that they will go to hell, etc. Putting some one on a guilt trip will certainly not lead them any closer to Jesus Christ or God.

God is Love, nothing but the purest form of love.
If you don't, then continue to send these e-mails, but keep in mind what you believe in you will receive, so if you believe in falseness and lies, then that is what will be in your life. Even non-Christians believe in something, most call it positive thinking. Think about it!

The Chronicles of Narnia Review

Alas!!! i finished all 7 books of narnia... very very satisfied...:)

#1- the magician's nephew:
- kind of weird but it really answered my questinons bcoz i read #3 first then #2 then this. diggory was weird uncle andrew's nephew who he sent to a world through wearing a certain ring. diggory went to that world to fetch polly who came firstnarnia wasn't created yet at that time. when they came back, andrew followed and everything followed. they first met jadis the witch who proclaims herself the only queen. they also met aslan who made narnia with his breath. the first king and queen of narnia came from our world, frank and helen. and everything else followed....

#2- the lion, the witch and the wardrobe
- the penvensie children, peter, susan, edmund and lucy, first landed to narnia through a wardrobe in this book. there was a long winter in narnia and it was accdg to prophecy that 2 sons of adam and 2 daughters of eve were going to save them from the spell and be kings and queens in narnia, specifically at cair paravel. their reign was called the golden age of narnia. high king peter the magnificent. queen susan the gentle. king edmund the just. queen lucy the valiant.

#3- the horse and his boy
- about shasta who was a calormene but later on found out that he was actually prince cor, twin of prince corrin and son of king lune. he, with the talking narnianb horse, bree, journeyed towards narnia. on the way, they met aravis and hwin, also a talking horse. they were also going to narnia. many thing happened. to conclude, cor became the king and aravis his queen.

#4- prince caspian
- caspian the tenth, still young and still a prince, was saved by the pevensies in his userper uncle miraz who wished to be king. they saved him at the end and lived happily but not yet ever after...

#5- the voyage of the dawn treader
- the longest chapters among the rest. caspian, now a king, promised aslan that he'll find the seven (or was that 6 or 8? i 4got..) friends of his father who helped him. eustace clarence scrubb, cousin of the pevensies, came with edmund and lucy in this book. he was a spioled-self-absorbed-brat at the start of the story; he became a dragon and when realized his mistakes he became a man again. capian almost came to the end of the world. he also married a star's daughter and lived happily but not too long...

#6- the silver chair
- Rilian, son of caspian the tenth, was missing at the start of the story. eustace came with jill pole in this book. they were given a mission by aslan to find rilian. they were helped by puddleglum, a marsh-wriggle, to find him. they were first decieved by a witch to go to a giant's place. they soon found out that they were going to be eaten by the giants for a feast. they escaped and realized they still have a mission to finish. they arrived at an underground world where they found prince rilian under a spell of the witch for 10 years already. they saved rilian and rilian was able to speak to his dying father.

#7- the last battle
- the last book. shift, a clever ape, and puzzle, a stupid donkey, found a lion skin. shift decieved puzzle into wearing the lion skin and pretend to be aslan. king tirian, last king of narnia, son of king erlian and direct descendant of rilian, with his friend uncorn jewel, fought with the calormene who were with the ape. they decieved many talking beasts that puzzle was the real aslan. they also taught them that aslan and tash(lord of the calormene) were one and they were originally called tashlan. anyway, as the story went, there were many killed in fights. at the last part, the seven friends of narnia (diggory, polly, peter, edmund, lucy, eustace, jill) were all allowed to stay at the new narnia forever. you may ask why they were allowed by aslan because he always say before that adults are not allowed to visit narnia anymore. well, that's for you to find out.:D

This Side Up (my informal theme no.4)

"weakness will never hinder you in achieving anything." this was a line i read from a book, i forgot the title though. fears are commonly our weaknesses. it's our weaknesses that cause insecurities, comparing yourself to someone. they say that bravery is when you let your fears out and challenge yourself.. but still, many people, including me, hide their vulnerability, the fragile-this-side-up-box in every one of us.

vulnerability is the weakness of the spirit. i, for instance, have weaknesses that people apparently do not see. this true identity i have is difficult to hide beneath those piercing eyes. "one look, one word",a motto of those judgemental creatures. i continue my mission in hiding my true self up until now in fear of those who will know what i secretly hide.

seeking the perfect way or person to confide these thoughts and feelings is completely confusing. once i thought i found the person to talk to with these burdens too heavy. but somehow she let me down. from that day on i realize i wasn't wrong about those eyes that stab you inside making you regret big decisions you made.

wearing that sacred mask seems to be the only way to hinder that vulnerability in me from the crowd. but still i wait patiently. i wait for the person i can freely pour this fragile feeling ut of me. i also wish that someday i can also experience that natural feeling: the feeling not hiding anything from somebody, the feeling of wholeness i envy others feel.

---> i know, i know, it's lame and too dramatic. but what can i do? i was desperate at that time. and besides, i got 85 so its forgivable, right?

Things I Learned and Found Out So Far This 2007...

It’s the first month of 2007 and so far these are the things I have learned and found out.

things I have found out:

Luke Skywalker is not as handsome as I thought he would be. Well he is the lead character so he should be handsome, right? They should have put Harrison Ford in place to Luke Skywalker’s character. Hmmm… maybe not, because when that happens, what’s-his-name will be Princess Leah’s partner and that would ruin the story! Anyhow I don’t like him in that movie. Anyway what can I do? It’s just based from my opinion and those 3 movies which he appeared in were made a looong time ago.
I feel that 2007 is not my year. Everything I do these past few days seem to be all wrong. Don’t know why but that’s how I feel. When I do something which I think is correct, somebody tells me it’s the other way around. I am now confused of how adults think. Well I am already a young adult but how can it be that this is be the time I can’t relate to them? I don’t understand it! But of course I still continue to be with God, the One who always understands me.

things I learned:

Life is too short. Live life today like there's no more tomorrow, well of course with giving glory to God. Also, life is too short for preppy little fights. Just don't mind those people who are really jealous of you that won't admit they are. Think about it, when you mind them, who will lost, you or them? Of course you will, because they succeeded in getting your attention. It's simply Carpe Diem.
People who stick by you today doesn't mean that they will always be there. Most of the times, people in our life come and go but one thing is for sure: the Lord will be our (my) provider and (my) protector and nothing can get that away from us.
Laugh a hearty laugh. It will be these moments that you wish would last forever.

To conclude, 2007 is a new year, a new start and a new chapter of our life. Live this year and the succeeding years a time of praising and sharing God's good news to others! God bless!

A beautiful song for our world today. Dove has recently showed the whole Philippines their new commercial where this song is being played throughout while some girls are really conscious about themselves. This is a really nice commercial since girls, or even boys if i may say so, are admiring stick-thin models which i am really against by the way. They do what they see even if it's not what their body wants.

Anorexia bloomed because of this fast-spreading-contagious perception, a sickness in mind that tells you to be thin. Even those stick-thin models you see in magazines admit they don't really look that way in real life. Those thin figures we see are the effects of technology. Photographers edit those looks with computers for people to say their models are beautiful. But beautiful for them has a wrong perception. Because in order to look good, you have to feel good. Don't contradict what your body tells you to do. I'm not saying that you have to be fat. What i'm saying is that there are too many people who are suffering from anorexia, especially celebrities, because of this wrong perception.

People are beautiful no matter what size they are. It's what inside that matters. Another thing is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And besides, in the end, it's not what others' opinions that matters, it's what God will say that will only matter.

my 1st entry!!! soooo excited!! neology of a lass...

neology... i don't know why i choose this word. neology means a newly invented word or phrase. it came to my mind that as i grow older, i encounter so much things in life, and with this comes more responsibilities. in our time today, it's really hard to communicate with those whom are much older than us (well in my case, its the parents and aunts). and simply because of neology and time.

lass...it was originally petticoat but i figured lass would be much better. lass is a girl right? anyway, i thought it would sound unique. "neology of a lass" don't you agree?

neology of a lass... it is simply about my thoughts, experiences and life. i am hoping for more blog entries to post despite of my busy schedule, and besides, it is a new year and i just have to make a blog that is more mature. :D
